There are some old villages are worth to visit,such as the Fuli old street, Jiuxian old village,Liugong old village and Xingping old street. all of theese village were existed for over 800 years even more long time.
Fuli is a quiet town, 8 kilometers (5miles) east of Yangshuo County. It takes 20 minutes to drive from Yangshuo, Fuli has a history of 800 years. Here you can find nice small factories making painted paper fans. The barber shop, a small local Chinese pharmacy all have some special stories to tell. It has a very pretty landscape as well as local culture.
Fuli is a town with two faces. On one side is the new town which is next to the main road that leads to Guangdong province. On the other side is the old town which is on the bank of the Li River. The old town still has all of its old houses which you can peek into and see the simple lives of the local people. Wandering around the town you will see all the traditional new years' decorations which remain in place for the entire year. A walk around this old town is a very memorable experience. Fuli also has markets on any day of the month that ends in 1,4 or 7. The market day is for every 3 days, you can see the rows of produces, pots and pans, fruits, vegetables, seeing the people pouring in, hawking and bargaining, is full of vigor and vitality, it is good ideal for tourists to know the customs and habits of the local people. Many are ethnic minorities, and they come to market with their most colorful clothing.
Liugong village located on the banks of the beautiful Li River 18 km down stream from Yangshuo and it is really old china, Luigong village has maintained it's cultural identity, traditional architecture and simple farming life.
Liugong is not visited by many visitors. Liugong is special for its old houses, town gate and the 3 colored ponds. Liugong can be reached by bicycle or you could take a motorised rickshaw here.
If you want a taste of real China then Luigong village is well worth the visit. The stone paths, ornate roof tops and the odd pigpen satisfied your photographic spirit. You will enjoy meeting the people and although language was a barrier.

The town of Xingping, located on the east bank of the Li River, 63 kilometers to Guilin and 27 kilometers to Yangshuo. it is the oldest town with 1300 years history in the north of Yangshuo as well as the center of Yangshuo until the setup of Yangshuo in 590 A D. Xingping along with Dayu Town as one of 4 ancient town in Guangxi,
the tour boats pass by this river town from Guilin down to Yangshuo, the best landscape of Li River is near Xingping Town, it has been reproduced in many Chinese landscape paintings, even the newly issued 20 RMB Bill has the landscape on its back. The most beautiful scene of Li River is Reflection of Yellow Cloth.
The local market for local every 3 days, on the market day, young and old people, men and women gather here from rural areas several miles around, with bamboo pole and baskets to sell their farming produces, buy oils, salts, daily necessities back their home. It is very crowded with people talking, hawking and haggling.
